Testimonials for PLUGR® Lawn Aerators and Other Equipment
– Buddy Rodgers, Buddy Rodgers & Son Professional Lawn Service, Leavenworth, KS
"We pride ourselves in having good equipment and we’re constantly upgrading. We’ve had a Plugr for years and, because our guys always choose Plugr over our other aerators, we recently added the new PL855. The new machine is an even better machine, more comfortable with better features, even allowing us to slow the machine down and prepare small areas for seeding without dragging out the verticutter."
– Brian Lehmann, Lehmann Lawns, Lincoln, NE
"We originally switched from barrel rolling machines to Plugr aerators because of their ability to pull deeper and more plugs in both wet and dry conditions. After using the new PL830, I was especially pleased with its speed, which I estimate to be up to twice as fast as my PL800s and it seemed to pull just as many plugs. Thank you for continuing to move forward in developing aeration technology."
– Dominic Carlos, Four Seasons Aeration LCC, San Diego, CA
"When we saw the performance of the Plugr reciprocating cam driven machines, we purchased several and never went back to the drum driven machines. A drum driven aerating machine rolls over the lawn relying on weight to penetrate the turf. That only puts dents in hard soils and does absolutely nothing in thick thatchy lawns. Our Plugr machines punch the turf and extract soil cores in thick grasses and hard soils and no customer ever complains that we didn’t get enough holes or go deep enough."
– Michael Legasse, Green Thumb Lawn Service, Brewer, ME
"My aerators just run and run— Plugrs are so simple that all we have to do is occasionally changes tines or belts and we are ready to aerate."
– Matt Glenn, Glenn’s True Value Hardware, Lincoln, NE
"We keep four Plugr aerators on hand and they are rented out non-stop during our aerating seasons. Customers like these aerators so well, they want to buy them from us!"
– Russ Doszak, R & R Yard Designs, Matteson, IL
"We use a PL3660 VersaTow pull-behind aerator from SourceOne and, let me tell you, it will pull a lot of plugs— and deeps ones. We get 3" to 5" plugs all the time and it will go down 6" if the soil is just right. Plus, it’s nice to go from 36" to 48" for parkways and 60" for the larger areas."
– Garry McMillan, Classic Turf Lawn Service, Cincinnati, OH
"I purchased one of your EZ100 trailer hitch ramp assemblies and it works great! I use it for snow blowers and other equipment, too, and it’s always easy on easy off!"
– Glen Meyer, Exact Lawn & Garden Services, Post Falls, ID
"When the photo at right was taken, conditions were moist with just over ½" of thatch. The one on the left is a single pass, side-by-side but I was careful not to have them overlap, with a hydrostatic drive Plugr aerator. As you can see, there’s a night and day difference and my hydro Plugr pulls significantly more plugs than my standard rolling tine aerator or the rental. Plus, Plugr hydros can go some crazy places! I had to use my Plugr on two properties last year due to difficult access and steep slopes."
– Ken Heltemes, Weed Man, Raleigh, North Carolina
"My crews have 11 SourceOne Plugrs in the field. We use them all, from the 400 (22" PL400) to the self-propelled (30" hydrostatic aerator). These machines are less strenuous to use and maneuver a whole lot better than drum type aerators. I won't buy anything else but a Plugr, there's just nothing else that works this well. My crews go over a lawn once and it's better than someone else going over it twice. Plugr aerators do an excellent job."
– John Lowery, Massey Services, Orlando, Florida
"We have Plugrs out every day. I chose them for their ease of use and productivity. Honestly, in all my years of business I haven't found a drum aerator that does a good job on St. Augustine grass, but Plugrs do a terrific job. They're easy to maneuver around the yard, too."
– Danny York, Holey Grounds Aerating, Westerville, Ohio
"I purchased the Plugr hydrostatic aerator and love it. Matt in service assisted me and helped me with any issues and questions I had. Thanks for building a SUPERIOR aerator! My business is going strong thanks to the Plugr Hydrostatic."
– L. Shimek, Leonard's Service, Hastings, Nebraska
"The Plugr has been used in Leonard’s Service since 1986. I am very impressed with these machines. We had 100% customer satisfaction and no maintenance problems. The Plugr is easy to operate and transport, and is very dependable. I was amazed at the profits we were able to generate!"
– Joe Staker, Evergreen Lawn Care, Sandy, Utah
"We bought two Plugr aerators and they paid for themselves in less than two weeks. We had more work than we could do."
– Mike Monji, Monji Enterprises, Bakersfield, California
"After operating typical rotating rear tine aerators from other manufacturers, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of operation and my ability to get into corners that I had not previously been able to aerate."
